The telecom sector is a key contributor to Canada’s economy, generating more than $80B in direct GDP and supporting more than 782,000 jobs in 2023. This includes $25.8B in direct impact from the telecom sector’s value chain and up to $55.0B in direct impact due to the increase of sales and output of other industries through the addition of incremental wireless and wireline connections.
