Canada Is First in North America to Rank “Very Good” in Mobile Video Experience: Opensignal
November 27, 2019 – Canada is the first, and only, country in the Americas to rank “Very Good” in mobile video experience according to a new report from Opensignal. Canada was among only 22 countries that made the jump to “Very Good” in Opensignal’s evaluation of mobile video experience over the last year. By contrast, the U.S. only ranked “Fair” and did not improve its mobile video quality enough “to shift U.S. consumers up a gear into the Good category,” Opensignal said. Canadian users, on the other hand, “experienced generally fast loading times with only occasional stalling.” The report concluded that “Canada’s 4G networks offer download speeds as high as 200Mbps [and] although download speeds don’t necessarily correlate to good Video Experience, in Canada’s case they do.”
